PROGRAMS

One of the most rewarding aspects of League membership is the direct interaction with the kids, families, and Center staff. The League hosts staff appreciation days, engagement days, holiday gift drives, furniture donation drives for families in need, pantry food donation drives, and respite days for Center families. We have volunteers who aid teachers on a regular basis and partners who make connections at the Center during Pal-A-Palooza. However League Members choose to get involved, they walk away knowing they've made a lasting impact. It's All For Kids!

MERRY GO ROUND GALA

The Childhood League's annual Merry Go Round Gala is Columbus' longest-running fundraiser and has been the League's highly anticipated tradition since 1949. League Members secure lucrative sponsorships, host stunning live and silent auctions, manage relationships with vendors, host entertainment, and plan all aspects of this elevated evening for 450+ members of the community. This event raises approximately 10% of The Center's annual operating budget. They pour their hearts into making this event a financial success for The Center, all while having a whole lot of fun!

SOCIAL

As a League Member, social opportunities are great ways to build connections with Columbus industry leaders and strengthen our friendships with each other. Elevate Women is The League's leadership development series that hosts panels featuring powerful and supportive women leaders from the Columbus community. The League also looks forward to the annual Winter Social, fall tailgates, and planning the monthly membership meetings.

ANNUAL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

The Anual Fundraising Campaign (AFC) raises money to continue to provide exceptional services for the hundreds of children The Center helps in our community. League Members are encouraged to raise $1000 each year and they accomplish this effort through donations, educating at wine tastings, partnering with art workshops, hosting parties with drag queens, planning 5K fun runs, supporting dine to donates, planning bar crawls, teaching group fitness classes, and more! A favorite event that The League looks forward to every fall is the annual Golf Outing. The League's creativity and collective enthusiasm make AFC fundraising not only highly impactful, but incredibly fun as well.

ASSISTING BOARDS

After an incredible five years as a League Member, many continue on with a lifetime of support for The League as an Assisting Board Member. Each graduating League class may join an Assisting Board, which ensures invitations to special events. Additionally, AB Members continue to meet together as friends with their own events. They organize special projects for The Center and continue to support the mission through financial gifts and advocacy.
